This is a mixed collection consisting principally of the papers of T. P. and J. W. Tyacke, solicitors, the former of whom was purser of Bassett and Grylls and Trumpet and Trenithick, Helston borough coroner and three times mayor and the latter of whom was town clerk of Helston 1892-1934, clerk of the South Helston District Highway Board and West Kerrier Petty Sessions and Undersheriff of Cornwall. They were also agents to the Grylls and Vivian families, and Conservative party agents, and acted for many clients in legal, estate and commercial business. The papers reflect their many activities, and also include borough records inherited from earlier town clerks. There are a few more recent papers of J. P. Rogers, town clerk from 1934.
