The Royal York Lodge of Perseverance was established in 1776 and met at the King's Arms, Kew Green, Kew. In 1776 the lodge was named the King's Arms Lodge and in 1779 it was renamed the Lodge of Perseverance. In 1793 the lodge was renamed again becoming the Royal York Lodge of Perseverance. Between 1793 and 1821 the lodge was in the Coldstream Regiment of Guards. In 1829 the lodge met at the Wood's Hotel, Furnival's Inn, Holborn and the lodge remained there until 1832 when it united with the Lodge of Hope, No. 7 of the Albion, Beak Street, Regent Street, London. This united lodge adopted the name of Royal York Lodge of Perseverance and met at the George and Blue Boar, Holborn London. The Royal York Lodge of Perseverance now meets at Mark Masons' Hall, 86 St. James's Street, London.
