Patcham Senior Mixed School was opened in Warmdene Road in September 1936. In September 1945 it became known as Patcham County Secondary School. The school closed down in July 1965 following the reorganisation of senior schools in the area. The boys were transferred to Patcham Fawcett School which opened new premises at Ladies Mile in 1965 (E/SC/185) and the girls to the Margaret Hardy High School in Patcham (E/SC/224)
