The item consists of copies and extracts of correspondence and minutes cited in, or enclosed with, extracts from a Government of Bombay Political Consultation, 8 July 1849. He also states that there are other members of his caste who have done the same. The deposition is forwarded by Thomas Ogilvy, Political Agent in Cutch, to the Government of Bombay.
