Single-acting engine, with 40 inch cylinder, 8 foot stroke, chain connection.Outside front view of the engine and round boiler; inside view of the engine from the front and cross-section of the boiler; ground plan of the engine and boiler; first floor plan of the engine and boiler; cylinder, nozzles, condenser, valve (2 copies, one with smaller scale coloured drawings of the valve - these drawings were also used for Wanlockhead 36 inch engine for Gilbert Meason); eduction and steam pipes (also used for Wanlockhead engine); working gear "for upper regulator of Wanlockhead engine" - partially coloured plan and side view also marked as being for Hallamanin.

Catalogue of Old Engines p. 300.For Hallamanin Mine. The mine was frequently spelt as "Hallamaning" or "Hallamannin". According to the List of Engines made at Soho, the engine was stopped in Jul. 1786. It was then bought by Retallack Mine, and some new drawings made. It worked at Retallack from Aug. to Dec. 1787. It was later sold Wheal Treasury, where it worked from Jul. 1790 to Dec. 1793, was stopped, and was set to work again between Jul. 1795 and Dec. 1798. Henry Hazleton lists the engine twice on p. 300 of the Catalogue of Old Engines.
