Description

'One World' was the journal of the National Peace Council. Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury was elected on to this Council in 1916, acting as Treasurer between 1924 and 1946 before becoming Vice-President of the Council, an office which she held until her death in 1951.

The February-March 1952 edition of 'One World' which survives amongst Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury's personal papers includes a number of tributes to Taylor Cadbury's life and work written following her death in December 1951. A photograph of Taylor Cadbury also features on the front cover of the journal. Tributes from Dr. Herbert G. Wood, Sir Patrick Hannon and Henrietta Franklin are featured, alongside extracts from obituary notices which appeared in the national press.
