The dispute between the cathedral priory and the abbess and convent, who act for the church of 'Aluuesbregge' (?Aloesbridge), concerns 3 parishioners, who are Wulmer ('Wlmerus'), the heir of Ralph the white, and Richard son of Edwin; the tithes of the 6 acres of salt land on which they live; the tithes of 12 acres of 'Snawerelande'; and a third of 4s 5d payable by the rector of 'aluuesbrege'. Written in the year when Archbishop Stephen returned from the General Council [ie 4th Lateran] held by Pope Innocent III and the 3rd year of Honorius III. [Date: 3rd year of Honorius III.
