Incoming letters received by R.W. Partridge, Clerk to the Committee of Visitors from his appointment in July 1869, arranged by him in a numbered series in bundles of 100 items. Each letter is marked with date of receipt, name of correspondent and usually a brief guide to the subject of the letter Related letters are folded together in a small bundle. The original numbers have been used in the document reference number.
