Description

1. Schedule of plans relating to the case, entitled ‘Crockfords vs Hortons. Defendants plans in connection with action’. Undated. Please note that not all plans detailed in the schedule survive (1 item).

2. Building plan entitled ‘Bull Street Widening', showing property numbers 98 - 103, Bull Street (with line of extension from Crockford and Sons' property over Union Passage (nos. 101 - 102) from no. 101 to Horton's Estate's property at no. 100). Architect: Martin & Chamberlain, 106, Colmore Row, Birmingham. Scale: 8 feet to 1 inch. Dated 1 June 1896. Originally numbered 'D.4190' (1 item).

3. Building plan entitled ‘Bull Street Widening', showing property numbers 101 - 103, Bull Street, nos. 101 - 102 leased by Crockford Grove and Sons (with line of extension from Crockford and Sons' property over Union Passage from no. 101 to Horton's Estate's property). Architect: Martin & Chamberlain, 106, Colmore Row, Birmingham. Scale: 8 feet to 1 inch. Dated 26 June 1896. Originally numbered 'D.4189' (1 item).

Building plan entitled ‘Bull Street Widening, showing property numbers 95 - 105, Bull Street, nos. 101 - 102 leased by Crockford Grove and Sons (with line of extension from Crockford and Sons' property over Union Passage from no. 101 to Horton's Estate's property). Architect: Martin & Chamberlain, 106, Colmore Row, Birmingham. Scale: 8 feet to 1 inch. Dated July 1896. Originally numbered 'D.4193' (1 item).

5. Building plan entitled Nos. 99 & 100 'Bull Street. Drawing shewing outline of proposed new building compared with present'. Note in pencil: ‘Copy sent to Mr Jenkins 29.4.1898’. Sheet clipped to plan states that the plan was one of the working drawings relating to the rebuilding of Horton’s premises disclosed in the plaintiffs’ affidavit of documents (see BCC/1/AX/1/9/1/1/7). Scale: 8 feet to 1 inch (1 item).

etter from Redferns' Solicitors to A.L. Crockford dated 24 April 1913). Scale: Half an inch to 1 foot. Originally numbered '5' (1 item)

8. Deposited building plan number 15752. 99 & 100, Bull Street, Birmingham. Details of proposed windows into Union Passage, with elevation to Union Passage and detail relating to proposed fittings. Three amended sheets clipped together. Sheet 1 dated 5 October 1899. Scale: Half an inch to 1 foot. Originally numbered 'D.2304', with attached note reading: 'September 1899 - Martin & Chamberlain. Deposited in Plaintiff's Affidavit of Documents' (1 item).

9. Building plan detailing general road widening scheme, Bull Street and Union Passage, including properties on street area relating to legal proceedings. Three sheets clipped together. Dated [8] February 1906. Scale 1 inch to 10 feet. Originally numbered D.4193, D.4253 and D.4269 (renumbered D.4311) (1 item).

10. Building plan entitled 'Section through Old Wall shewing two separate underpinnings'. Architect: [Martin and Chamberlain, 106, Colmore Row, Birmingham]. Scale: Half an inch to 1 foot (approximate only). Undated, but note on reverse of plan states that the item was an exhibit marked 'H.M.' and numbered 'H.1981' presented at Chancery on the cross-examination of Herbert Martin[, architect] (1 item).

11. Plan of property and land leased by Improvement Committee. Two portions of land bounded by Martineau Street, Union Passage and Bull Street, plus additional properties belonging to Crockford Grove and Sons, including names of lessees, size of plot and date and duration of lease. Note at top of page: 'Lent [the] I[mprovement] Committee by Messrs Martin & Chamberlain 3/4/13'. Scale: 1 inch to 10 feet (1 item).

12. Building plan entitled 'Horton V Crockford. Half Inch Details of Proposed New Construction Under Party Wall'. Plans of nos. 100 and 101, Bull Street, Birmingham.
