Introduction
This list brings together copies of maps relating to East Sussex to be found in the archive of the Land Revenue Office, Public Record Office class LRRO 1
The class consists of 5143 maps and plans formerly in the custody of the Auditors of the Land Revenue (1554-1832), the Keeper of the Office of Land Revenues and Enrolments (1832-1961), the Commissioners of Crown Lands (1925-1956) and the Crown Estate Commissioners (1956-date)
Most of the maps in LRRO 1/1-1356 which date from 1860 or earlier are described more fully in the published catalogue, Maps and Plans in the Public Record Office 1. British Isles c1410-1860 (London, HMSO, 1967). A copy of the Sussex portion, which however contains details only of AMS6575/1 is available in the searchroom
