Description

The Path of obedience by the Roman Catholic controversialist James Canceller was first published in about 1553.

Dedicatory epistle to Francis Russell, 2nd Earl of Bedford, dated from Canterbury, 6 July 1561 (ff. ii-iiiv), and epistle to the reader (ff. 1-2).

The manuscript was entered at the Stationers' Company by John Day, the printer (E. Arber, Trans. of the register of the Company of Stationers, i, 155), and ff. 1-2 are marked up for printing, but the work appears to have been laid aside.
