Description

Indenture between James Fleming Baxter of Ludlow, 2. Rev. Humphrey Sandford of Shrewsbury clerk, William Coupland of Shrewsbury gent. 3

Whereas James Fleming Baxter seised of parochial free chapel, improbates tithes and advowson of Edgton, which Humphrey Sandford has agreed to purchase in fee simple for £4670. Release of premises by James Fleming Baxter to Humphrey Sandford; chapel tithes, glebe, advowson how occupied by the Rev. William Johnstone incumbent. To have and to hold, chapelry, advowson, glebe etc. by Humphrey Sandford and heirs, to the use of William Coupland and heirs during the life of Humphrey Sandford. In trust for Humphrey and heirs, after the determination of the estate, committed in use of William Coupland.

Schedule to be referred to by the above written indenture. January 21, 1775. Indenture of release between John Harries of Middle Temple London and Frances his wife, daughter, and a devisee named in the will of Edward Fleming, late of Sibdon Carwood, 2 John Cotes of Woodcote

September 5 and 6 1776. Indentures of lease and release between John Harries and Frances his wife, 2 George Duke and Earl of Manchester, Viscount Mandeville, and Baron Montague, Sir Henry Oxenden of Broome, Kent baronet, Henry Herbert of High Clere, Southampton, esq., and Hon and Rev. William Neville rector of Burghelre county of Southampton.

February 7 and 8 1782. Indenture of lease and release, between Frances Harries 2. John Swinnerton Dyer, of parish of St. James Westminster baronet Joseph Bullock of Caversfield, Bucks esq., and George Richards of New Inn Middlesex gent.

25 and 26 July 1788. Indentures of lease and release between Sir John Swinnerton Dyer, 2. Joseph Bullock and George Richards

September 28 and 29 1789 Indentures of lease and release of three parts between Frances Harries, 2. Frances Chambre of Oswestry, 3 James Fleming Baxter of Ludlow gent.

March 25 and 26. 1790 Indenture of lease and release between Sir Henry Oxenden, Henry Lord Porchester and William Neville, 2. Frances Harries, 3. Joseph Bullock and George Richards and James Fleming Baxter (fourth part).

Signed and sealed by J. F. Baxter, Humphrey Sandford.

Sealed and delivered in the presence of:- Thomas Edmonds, of Ludlow yeoman, Thomas Lloyd, grocer.

Witnesses for Humphrey Sandford Thomas Farmer Dukes, Rott. Pemberton of Shrewsbury.

Receipt for £4670 consideration money received from Humphrey Sandford, by James Fleming Baxter. Witnessed Thomas Lloyd, Thomas Edmonds. Release- 2 parchment membranes.
