Description (What the record is about)

This series of documents, although extremely incomplete, is clearly part of the archive of the Curteis family, who acquired large tracts of marsh in East Guldeford throughout the eighteenth century. Similar material is to be found among the deposit by the Rye solicitors Dawes and Prentice whose predecessors acted for the Curteis family and it is not unlikely that these deeds are also from that source
