Comments on the proposal to hold a meeting of the Executive of the (International) Council of Women. She cannot attend as she is to tour in support of the League of Nations. Says the Republicans may discredit Wilson, and thereby the idea of the League, for party political reasons. Asks Mrs Fawcett to represent the Committee on Suffrage at the Executive meeting instead of her, or to arrange for some other British member to do so. Comments on the changes in life following the war and the difficulties in carrying out disinterested work. Typed, signed.
