CR 2017/TP23/1 Richard Bull of North Court, Isle of Wight, to Thomas Pennant at Downing, 30th Aug. 1795: he is buying prints again and "making up more Books"; his wish for more drawings from Moses Griffith who it seems was less ready to work even for Pennant since his marriage; the alterations to North Court; events in France.
CR 2017/TP23/2. Dr. F[oote] Gower [(?1726-1780), antiquary] at Chelmsford to the same at Downing, 16th Sept. 1777, about the etymology and history of Hawarden.
CR 2017/TP23/3. John Jones at Oxford to the same, 23rd Jan. 1778, about the inscription at Valle Crucis [v also CR 2017/TP22/6].
CR 2017/TP23/4. Philip Yorke at Erthig to [the same], 17th Nov. 1777, on the proposed dislodging of the monument under the wall of Gresford church thought to be to Madoc ap Llewellin.
CR 2017/TP23/5. A note of the memorial inscription to the Trevor family and another about Sir Richard Trevor.
Some of this material was used by Pennant in Tours in Wales.
