Copy marriage settlement

1. Robert Aglionby Slaney of Inner Temple, London, Esq. son and heir of Moreton Slaney late of Birmingham, gent.

2. William Plowden of Plowden Hall, Esq.

Frances Plowden, youngest daughter of William Plowden by Mary Stonor, his second wife.

3. Sir Thomas Lyttleton of Hagley, Worcs., bart.

North Foley of Stowerbridge, Worcs., Esq.

4. Joseph Cox of Kidderminster, Worcs., gent.

Thomas Woolley of Shrewsbury, wine merchant

Recital of lease and release of 17 & 18 August 1696 being the settlement on the marriage intended between Robert Slaney the second son of R.A. Slaney, and Arabella Cope, settling the Manor of Great Dawley, the castle site and houses, cottages and mines in Great Dawley (tenants named); the capital messuage - Hatton Grange (once John Hatton decd.) and other property in Hatton bought by Robert Slaney snr. from Richard d'Avenant of Shelsey, Worcs., gent, and John Wheeler of Woolaston, gent.

Robert Slaney and Arabella have one daughter.

Moreton Salney died having made a will dated 20 January 1714/15

A marriages is now intended between R.A. Slaney and Frances Plowden.

Portion: £2000 from. William Plowden.

Recoveries to be suffered of the Manor of Dawley, Hatton Grange and property in Dawley and Hatton, to be settled as stated.
