Description

James Davies in the county of Salop, glover 2. Walter Wall late of Kenwick Worcester but now of Dirty Middleton in the county of Hereford 3. William Jeffreys of Shrewsbury gentleman and John Asterley of Careghova in the county of Denbigh gentleman (surviving trustees named in the last will and testament of Joseph Asterley late of Shrewsbury) 4. Thomas Lloyd of Osbaston in the parish of Kinnerley 5. John Finchett Maddock of the City of Chester esq., 6. Thomas Francis of the City of Chester

Prissick died the 18 December 1823 and the principal sum of £4000 is still due and owing to Davies and the principal sum of £2500 is still owing to Jeffreys and Asterley and to enable Lloyd to discharge these Maddock has agreed to advance him the sum of £8000. Now in consideration of the sum of £4000 paid to James Davies by Maddock at the direction of Lloyd and also £2500 (part of the loan of £8000) paid to Jeffreys and Asterley by Maddock, Davies, Wall, Jeffreys and Asterley release Lloyd and at the appointment of Maddocks do confirm unto Thomas Francis all the aforesaid property in trust that if Lloyd should make default in the payment of £8000 he will at the direction of Maddocks put the property up for auction or private sale and after deducting the costs of this he shall pay Maddocks the full sum loaned
