These records comprise files containing Joseph Sankey & Sons Ltd depreciation accounts and working papers for the period from 1915 to 1921 and a general depreciation ledger covering the period from 1921 to 1927. There is also an Albert Street Works ledger, but this only covers the financial year from April 1921 to 1922. The files include information about the calculation of the company's claim for exceptional depreciation with respect to Excess Profits Duty and Munitions Levy charges in the period following the First World War.
