These volumes contain notes of prescriptions issued by A.E. Hobbs at their premises at 33, later renumbered 72, Mount Pleasant Road and 20 St. John's Road, Tunbridge Wells.
Series B1 was held at St. John's Road until 1940, when the branch was closed and the books sent to Mount Pleasant Road; series B2 and its associated indexes in series B5 was held at Mount Pleasant Road, while series B4 was the Counter-Prescribed Record. Series B3 consists of volumes that were held at the surgeries of various local doctors, who would write the prescriptions in themselves and send the book to the chemist for the prescription to be made up.
