A list of evidences with a receipt signed for them by Hugh Beston, who has them from Thomas Wiche, Cent., from Mr. Thos Stanley of Alderley Esq., to be re-delivered to Stanley on demand. On p.2 is a list of notes upon the estate of Roger Downes, by deeds of dates referring to Edw 6 and Eliz.;-
An indenture 10 August 17 Eliz. 1575, to Sir Peter Legh Kt and others concerning a fine to be levied.
Another indenture same date between 1. Roger Downes, 2. Thomas Stanley Esq., for a fine to be levied to Sir Peter Legh Kt.
Another indenture 18 October 1 Edw 6, 1457, between 1. Pears Leigh of Bradley Kt., 2. Roger Downes of Worth, concerning a marriage between Laurence Downes & Elizabeth Leigh.
A Deed 18 January 19 Eliz., 1577, whereby Rogr Downes gives his lands to Randle Stanley his brother in law.
Another deed pinned to the same declaring the use of the former deed.
The Copy of a Fine acknowledged to Sir Peers Leigh & others 20 February 18 Eliz., 1576.
Item an Imperfect Rental in parchment.
Item the opinion of Councaell what is to be done.
