1770s / 1780s:
"Sketch representing the great beam or principal and middle leaver of the fire engine constructed in the years 1775 and 1776 at Rotterdam."

"New beam at Lord Middleton's colliery, Wollaton, intended to work a 54 inch cylinder atmosph., 7/ [stroke]," not dated.

Plan of a beam for a pumping engine, 1783 [?] [the drawing is marked "1783" and "Port. 55" in pencil, but it does not belong to Portfolio 55 in Henry Hazleton's scheme, nor does it appear to belong to original portfolio 55, the Wanlockhead engine of 1785].
