The Dean of the Peculiar was empowered to grant commons marriage licences to those living within his jurisdiction
The allegations are missing for Croydon and Shoreham deaneries 1805-1811, and 1819-1824. A calendar of licences has been constructed from information in the contemporary index and the parish transcripts. The parties are included in the Index.
