These files contain correspondence and related papers of Roland Moyle M.P. on local and national political issues.

Roland Moyle was Labour M.P. for North Lewisham from 1966 to 1974 and (following the constituency alterations) for East Lewisham from 1974 to 1983. He was Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Chief Secretary to the Treasury 1966-69, and to the Home Secretary 1969-70. He was opposition spokesman on higher education and science 1972-1974, then Parliamentary Secretary to M.A.F.F. 1974; Minister of State for Northern Ireland 1974-76 and for the Health Service 1976-79. He was the opposition spokesman on health 1979-80, deputy foreign affairs spokesman 1980-83, and spokesman on defence and disarmament 1983. He was made a Privy Councillor in 1978.
