Passed at a General Meeting of the Inhabitants of the Town of Potton held at the Crown Inn by desire of the Lieut. of Division for the Hundred of Biggleswade:
"That every individual not incapacitated by age or infirmity ought to offer his personal services for the Defence of his Country".
Followed by a reference to the recently passed General Armament Act and to the advantages enjoyed by those who volunteer their services, and other information.
On the first page: the Undertaking as to Service given by Volunteers, with 45 signatures.
