Business and personal correspondence with Mr Thomas Alex Cook and E Lenoard Cook (Captain, later to become Major) covering the relationship between Lever Brothers Limited and Edward Cook & Company Limited, London. Lever Brothers took over the firm in 1911. The letters contain a numerous reference to the war effort and the affects it is having on business. Thomas Cook died suddenly on 8 May 1918 of pleuro pneumonia. Words of tribute from Lord Lever are included [LBC/133/17 and LBC/133/21]
