Description (What the record is about)
-
Royal Institution 2/3p, typescript
Was interested in Street's letter. Believes that regular courses of lectures for young people pay handsome rewards. Scheme must have the full collaboration of the other universities in Melbourne. Lectures must be held in some place easily accessible to schools and must be held in collaboration with the Department of Education and the teachers. Would like to know how they propose to get the courses going. Would be pleased to help with the plans. Asks if the possibility of his giving lectures could be left open, as he has a heavy programme for about a year ahead.
