Trustees and executors: John Sancroft Holmes of Gawdy Hall, Norfolk, esq son-in-law, Charles H Harding of Rathvilly, Co Carlow, Ireland, friend, Lieut Col Harvey Alexander late 10th Hussars, brother-in-law, Rev Thomas Enraght Linsay of St Pauls Vicarage, Middlesborough, York, clerk.
Cornish estates: mansion house at Trelissick, smaller residence called 'Penhale'
Sussex estates: Manors of Eastbourne, Eastbourne Gildridge, Eastbourne Parker and Birling, Gildridge tithes, tithes in East Dean parish and all lands not in Eastbourne and Seaford, and the following in Eastbourne: the Manor house, the Manor Hall house, and houses and cottages in Borough Laine, Elphicks Field including Gildridge Park, house and grounds called Trevella, Gildridge Farmhouse, house and shops in High Street leased to Messieurs Hurst and Mr Daniel Dumbull, the old Gildridge Mansion house now converted into cottages, cottages purchased of Mary Gausden's representatives, garden and site of house occupied by Norton Stevenson and all other premises between High Street or Borough Laine and the Manor House, all property on west side of road from Tally Ho to Green Street Barn and three-cornered piece of land on east side of said road.
Eastbourne Building Estate: the Eastbourne tithes and all messuages lands, rent charges, ground rents and hereditaments in Eastbourne other than those in Sussex estates.
Confirms marriage settlement of 25 Apr 1881 and Eastbourne Manor House Settlement of 25 Apr 1881.
To wife absolutely: furniture, books, pictures, household effects except plate, watches, jewellery etc, wines, carriages.
To trustees: rest of furniture, carriages etc on trust for wife, and sons and daughters; furniture etc at Trelissick and Penhale on trust to devolve with mansion house at Trelissick
To mother: Penhale in Feock and annuity of £1,500 out of Eastbourne building estate and annual sum of £350.
To daughters Grace, Hester and Honor: £200
To former butler and other staff: pensions
Manor house (as arranged in settlement) to wife for life, £1,600 in addition to jointure.
All three estates to trustees in trust for son (if there is one), the Eastbourne Building Estate being subject to a legacy of £25,000 to eldest daughter Minnie. If there is no son the Cornish and Eastbourne building estates to trustees for eldest daughter, remainder to second, and to sons of daughters.
Copyhold tenements of all three estates to trustees. Purchase money from building leases with options to purchase to persons entitled to hereditaments. Interest in Seaford Bay Co to son or daughter entitled to Eastbourne Building Estate.
