Vacuum and Blowing Engines (14 items).
Double-acting engine, with 40 inch cylinder, 8 foot stroke, parallel motion.
Coloured original and reverse general view of the engine and boiler, side view of the hot water pump beam, plan of the engine and boilers and blowing cylinder; reverse general view and plan of the engine house and framing and cross-section of the boilers (these 2 drawings have drawings of the regulating vessel and blowing cylinder stuck to them), plans of the cylinder and spring beams, sections of the engine house, drawings of the cistern, views of plates and glands etc.; plan and sections of the boilers and seating - partially coloured original and reverse drawings; reverse plans and sections of the blowing cylinder marked "Original not sent" and "Copy not sent"; parallel motion - coloured original drawing; working gear - coloured original front and side views; 2 sketch sections and plans of the furnace, marked "W. C. [William Creighton] 1801". All the drawings except those of the furnace bear letter codes.
