Description

1. 'Mr Anderton and his Wife and The Revd. Mr Baghall and his Wife to Mr James Dowler. Copy deed to lead the uses of a fine and to make partition of premises [101, Bull Street] in Birmingham'. Dated 10 April 1759 (1 item).

2. 'No. 101, Bull Street, Birmingham. Notes of parcels etc. in earlier Title Deeds which deal with the building over Union Passage etc'. Typescript schedule of deed excerpts, dated December 1773 - 19 June 1887 (1 item).

3. ‘Mr H.S. Hill and Mr Horton. Articles of agreement.’ Dated 25 June 1864. Bundle includes maps, house plans and correspondence relating to legal proceedings (see BCC/1/AX/1/9/1/1), damage to Mr Hill’s property and amendments to property (1 bundle).

4. 'Abstract of the Title of Hortons Estate Limited to freehold land at the corner of Bull St to Union Passage in the City of Birmingham'. Received 8 February 1898, and includes map showing location of property. Also included in the bundle is a file entitled 'Public Works Committee. Horton's Estate Ltd. Crockford, Grove and Sons Ltd. and The Corporation. Alleged Encroachments etc. on Plaintiffs' premises 99 & 100 Bull Street B'ham'. The file includes some copy deeds, legal correspondence, lists of plans referred to, building plans relating to the property and a photograph of the shop front on Bull Street bounding Union Passage. Dated 8 February 1898 - (1 bundle).

5. 'Miss A.M. Hill to the Corporation of Birmingham. Conveyance of premises No. 101 Bull Street in the City of Birmingham'. Duplicate copy deeds dated 11 February 1898. Item 2 originally numbered '10' (2 items).

6. 'Horton’s Estate Ltd to The Corporation of Birmingham. Conveyance of a piece of land in Bull Street in the City of Birmingham'. Copy deed dated 10 May 1898 (1 item).

7. Horton’s Estate Limited to George H. Leavey & Co. Limited. Lease of shop and premises Nos. 99 and 100 Bull Street Birmingham. Term: 21 years from 29th September 1899. Expires 29th September 1920. Rents:- 1st. 7 years £1050 per a[nnu]m. 2nd. 7 years £1175 [per annum]. 3rd. 7 years £1275 [per annum]'. Dated 4 October 1899. Originally numbered '19' (1 item)

8. 'Messrs Crockford, Grove & Sons Ltd. and Messrs George H. Leavey & Company Limited. Agreement as to wall and windows in Union Passage'. Duplicate copy deeds dated 12 October 1899. Item 1 originally numbered '20' (2 items).

9. 'Messrs. Crockford Grove & Sons Limited and The Corporation of Birmingham. Agreement re Bull Street Widening'. Copy agreement dated 21 April 1906 (1 item).

10. 'Messrs. Crockford Grove & Sons Limited to The Corporation of Birmingham. Surrender of Leasehold Property in Bull Street and Union Street Birmingham'. Copy deed dated 26 April 1906 (1 item).

11. 'Hortons' Estate Ltd and others to The Lord Mayor, Aldermen and Citizens to the City of Birmingham. Conveyance of a freehold piece of land abutting on Union Passage in City of Birmingham. Copy deed dated 9 October 1914 (1 item).
