Date of will 31 March 1815

Barbara Sandford, spinster, of Shrewsbury, bequeaths to her sister Elizabeth Sandford £50 with suitable mourning & such of B.'s wearing apparel as she thinks proper to accept; to Mr John Beech with whom her sister Charlotte now resides £50; to her servant Elizabeth Jones £427 7s £3% Consolidated Bank Annuities now standing in B.'s name and belonging to her in the books of the Governor & Co, of the Bank of England; also to Elizabeth Jones £25 with suitable mourning with the bed E. now sleeps on and B.'s 8 old teaspoons and such other of her wearing apparel as her sister shall not within 3 months after B.'s death accept; to her servant Margaret Jones £10 with suitable mourning; to B.'s sister Susanna all her books and silver plate; all the residue of her money, goods, chattels personal estate & effects to hersisters Susanna and Charlotte equally during their joint lives & after the death of one of them to the survivor of them for her life and after her death all the residue to her nephew Edward Sandford of Bath, son of her late brother Edward Sandford, decd.; she appoints her sister Susanna & her newphew Edward executrix & executor of the will.

Witnesses to the will & interlineation "I bequeath to my sister Susanna all my Books and Silver Plate and":- Thos Loxdale of Shrewsbury Esquire, Richd Gwyn of Shrewsbury Apothecary, Richd Wace of Shrewsbury Attorney.

Probate granted 17 July 1815 & administration granted to Susanna Sandford, sister of the decd. Power reserved to make the like grant to Edward Sandford, her nephew.

Signed by Geo. Gostling, Nath. Gostling, R.C. Cresswell, Deputy Registers. Sworn under £600.
