This collection of diaries and photographs compiled by Mr Leslie Stubbings of 59 Lambton Road, Wimbledon SW20, (died c.1969) was given by Mr B Nichols, his executor. The volumes record a number of walking and boating tours made by Mr Stubbings and his friends, including one to the Rhine.
The journals include details of the routes taken, the topography and history of the area covered, and descriptions of the many small twons and inns visited on these expeditions.
