Assignment of leasehold property in mortgage from Mary Gibson of Baginton, spinster, and Thomas Lee and Robert Lee of Stichall, husbandmen, to John Willes of Lichburrow, co. Northants., yeoman, and John Gamble of Kingshill, fuller, reciting an indenture of lease, dated 16 April 18 Charles I [1642], from Thomas Bambrigg, Doctor of Divinity and Master of Christ's College, Cambridge, and the fellows of the same, to the said Thomas and Robert Lee, of all their lands and tenements, etc. in Stichall, except the coal mines and trees, for 21 years, rendering annually 8 shillings to the College, four bushels of wheat and two of barley malt, and to the lord of Stichall four shillings and half a pound of cummin; and reciting an indenture of mortgage, dated 10 September 1647, from the said Thomas and Robert Lee to the said Mary Gibson of the said premises to secure 20 pounds; and reciting that on 31 March last the said Mary Gibson had agreed that the said Thomas and Robert Lee should hold the said lands in severalty [see schedules below]. It is now witnessed that, in consideration of 10 pounds paid by the said John Willes to the said Mary Gibson, and for 12 pence paid by the same to the said Robert Lee, and also in consideration of 10 pounds paid by the said John Gamble to the said Mary Gibson, and for 8 pounds paid by the same to the said Thomas Lee, the said premises are assigned as follows: the lands allotted to the said Robert Lee, to the said John Willes, and the lands allotted to the said Thomas Lee, to the said John Gamble; to hold for the residue of the said term of 21 years, or until redemption.

Witnesses: Thomas Gibson, John Brownell, William Morrell. Endorsed with memorandum that the original college lease was left in the custody of Mr. Thomas Gibson, minister of Bagginton to be kept in trust, and also the assignment made to Mrs. Gibson, neither to be produced except with the consent of all the parties.
Attached are two schedules made on the division of the lands on 31 March 1651, showing the shares of Thomas Lee and Robert Lee in the college lands in Stivichall. Divided under Netherfeild, Churchfeild and Parkefeild.
