Title (The name of the record)
- W. Shand & Sons retail business in the centre of Lancaster, decorated for the Royal Show in 1906. Donor's two aunts are standing in front of the shop. Reverse: In manuscript: 'M.D.M.C. Here is a p.c. of Shands shop decorated for the R. show. It is very good. It looked so pretty with the fresh flowers. To-day I finished at 4.3 a.m. so I have broken the record. Lancaster was astir early this morning with German gypsies. They have been thrashed out of P. Pool and came from Carnforth last night. Police chasing them through the town. They went into ever so many shops and stole things about 7.0 a.m. this morning. Love to all, Your loving girl Friday. 9.15 p.m. Aug. 21st 1906.
