Thomas Harwood writes (to Richard Hill).
He received Hill's of the 12th and paid to both neices as in the enclosed account he now has £90/6/2¼d. in his hands due to Hill. People in 'this country' are not willing to drop the price of land, but they will soon find they will have to. He has spoken to Mr. Blakeway of Salop about Campwell Estate. He has the offer of a small estate, suitable for Hill to buy, between two of his estates at Lithwood and Burton, within the parish of Condover. Mr. Owen of Eaton wishes to sell and asks £200 - the present rent is £6.10. but it is worth £8.10. at present, and after one old life of 75 worth £40. Harwood has offered £740. He has sent Cos Chambres to Mr. Mytton to pay the 6 months interest due to Hill.
