Kingston, created a Part III Authority under the Education Act, 1902, became part of the North Central Divisional Executive for Surrey when Part III Authorities were abolished under the Education Act, 1944. In 1965, following the London Government Act, 1963, the new London Borough of Kingston upon Thames became an Education Authority and the following records were inherited from the North Central Divisional Executive.
