Appeal by Sir Christopher Hawkins, bart. against adjudication of John Vivian, esq. Rev. Henry Pooley, Thomas Daniell, esq., Richard Taunton Ph.D., James Kempe, surgeon and William Tweedy, esqs, six trustees appointed by virtue of Act of Parliament concerned with improving roads around Truro, and building a bridge over the river at Stephings, near Truro. whereby said trustees resolved that £5 should be offered to Sir C. H. in compensation for stone, and the damage which occurred when digging that stone: trustees to pay Sir C. H. £6 15s. instead of £5.

Salt duties
Robert Andrew, master, and Samuel Lake, mate of the "galliott" 'Two Friends' belonging to Great Yarmouth stated that on 17 July last they shipped at Liverpool 3,200 bushels of British fishery salt to carry to St. Ives on account of Richard John and Richard ?Anmack, fish curers, sailing from Liverpool on 20 July. During the voyage they encountered storms and vessel took in water, destroying 66 bushels of salt: Collector of excise to cancel bond in respect of lost salt.

Complaint by Tavistock, Devon that Mary Harris James, and Eleanor Dinah James, children of James James and Joyce his wife, are chargeable to Tavistock, their father being unable to support them. Furthermore that John James, esq. living in St. Agnes (father of James James, and grandfather of the children) is able to contribute to the children's upkeep. An application to this effect was made to James James, esq., through his attorney: John James ordered to pay Tavistock, towards his grandchildren's maintenance, 7s. per week on every Tuesday starting on 12 Oct. inst. to continue until "the court shall think fit".
