Bond in £400 (William Dalston of Thwaite in Cumberland [sic] Esq. and Anne Dalston of Oulton widow, his mother, to William Dawson of Sharrow in Barton, Wd., yeo. and William his son there) - to fulfil the clauses in their sale deed today for 2 houses and lands at Sharrow, and for half the land called Brakenhowes (rent 6s. 8d.), 1652

Marriage settlement (prior to marriage) of Edward Sisson of "Powley" [Pooley Bridge] p. Barton yeo., and Anne the daughter of Bridget Dawson of Thwaite Hill p. Barton widow - whereby Edward covenants to keep Bridget Dawson his mother-in-law in food, clothes, and lodging, "according to her Degree, Quallity and Condition", for life, and Bridget conveys to him her goods, chattels, jewels, husbandry-gear, corn, and grain; mark of Bridget (armorial seal), 1685
