Proceedings of a Committee (consisting of Major-Gen. Thomas Hawker, Commanding the Mysore Division, J. M. Macleod, representing the Commission for the Affairs of Mysore, Lieut.-Col. W. Morison, and Lieut.-Col. Mark Cubbon) appointed by the Governor-General ''for the special purpose of framing a Report on the origin, progress and suppression of the recent disturbances in Mysore, including a detail of the consequences by which they may have been attended, as affecting the lives and property of the people and the general prosperity of the Country,'' Bangalore 24th Dec. 1832 to 12th Dec. 1833, on which date the Report (not included in the volume nor mentioned in the Indices to the Bengal or India Political Proceedings) was sent to the Supreme Government at Calcutta. (The ''disturbances'' refer to the outbreak in the Nagar country in 1830, caused by the misgovernment of the Raja, Krishna Raja Wodeyar), including, beside the evidence of Indian Officers and officials, the account given by Col. J. Waulfe (Commanding the Light Field Division of the Hyderabad Subsidiary Force) (pp. 1012-23, 30th April 1833) and the examinations of Major James Clemans (9th N.I., pp. 1045-6), Capt. T. M. Cameron (9th N.I., pp. 1119-25), Capt. G. Hutchinson (24th N.I., pp. 1672-82) and Correspondence with J. A. Casamajor (Resident in Mysore); also, pp. 19-22, Extract from letter by A. H. Cole (Resident in Mysore) to D. Hill (Chief Secretary, Madras) 20th June 1825, regarding the evil advisers of the Raja.
