Richard de la More, knight, lord of Bitton, has inspected and confirmed two charters, viz. n.d.
(i) of Sir Nicholas de Oxehay, with the assent of Petronilla his wife, daughter of Robert de Damenevile, granting to William his hayward of Buttona a half-virgate of land in Buttona in fee; rent 2s. a year. Witnesses: Robert de Hanum, William Marmyun, Robert Joye, William Chanu, Henry Poyntel, Martin de Longefeld, Robert Young (Juven'), Adam Malet, Thomas Franceys, and William de Chertesle;
(ii) of lady Petronilla de Damenevile, eldest daughter of Robert, widow, granting to Geoffrey le Hayward her servant the messuage which William le Hayward formerly held in the vill of Buttone with the half-virgate of land appurtenant to the messuage, and 3 fardels of meadow in Holemede; rent 4s. a year. Witnesses: Sir Maurice de Saltmarsh (de salso marisco), Sir William Marmyn, knights, Robert Joye, Martin de Oldelond, Adam Malet, Gilbert de Putot, Richard Poyntel, William de Chertesleg', Peter son of Geoffrey de Oldelonde.
Witnesses: Sir Robert Marmyn, Maurice de Saltmarsh (de salso marisco), John Chanu, John de Stauntone, Nicholas Joye, Richard Poyntel, John de Nortone, clerk.
