Description

Typescript copies of calendar entries for deeds in the muniments of Westminster Abbey by Dr Edward John Long Scott (d. 1918), Keeper of Muniments, selected and revised by Canon Herbert Francis Westlake, FSA (d. 1925), Custodian of Westminster Abbey; c. 1924-5. Intended for publication as the first volume of Documents at Westminster Abbey. The MS introduction by Canon Westlake indicates the scope of the proposed publication. The surviving sections relate to Middlx., Berks., Lincs., Warws., and Yorks., and miscellaneous. Indexes (incomplete) of names and places. See A.J., 6 (1926), 194 (obituary of Canon Westlake); Who Was Who 1916-1928.
