Description (What the record is about)
-
"I wrote by this post to say I would directly or in a day or two pay to your account at Child's for use of T.C. Eyton in the way you stated and will see to £1600. I put in the letter the conditions I did it on his promise to abstain from spiritous liquors etc - one I forgot and write this to add it, and do you look to it, viz, that he keens up regularly the payments for insurance on his life, of a large sum secured for his younger children on his death. I am sure he and Lizzy will wish earnestly to do this but it is not mentioned in your letter being doubtless included in the general annual payments he gave you."
