From: Henry VII, king of England To: Thomas Bryan, knight; William Danvers Thomas and William are appointed justices to hold an assize of novel disseisin which Prior Thomas [Goldstone, IV] brought against John Martyn concerning a tenement in Farningham ('Frennyngham'). They are to assign a day and place for holding the assize and inform the sheriff of Kent and cause him to come. Sent patent. The clerk is Warham. Given at Westminster [Middlesex]. Endorsed with a note that J Jamys saw the tenement and assessed it as not worth more than 60s a year in late 15th cent hand.
