The majority of the photographs appear to be of professional quality from various sources, made from the 1880s onwards. Locations include: Calcutta, Bombay, Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Lucknow, Cawnpore, Varanasi, Darjeeling, Madurai, Thanjavur, Ahmadabad.
