The donor is the daughter of Simon and Sarah Rosenrock. The donor's father worked as a presser, the donor's mother was an immigrant from Austria. The donor was one of 5 sisters, the others being Polly (married name Plartus), Leah (married name Bernard), Mary and Millie. The family lived in Sagar Street, Strangeways. On December 28th, 1932 the donor married Daniel Rickless at the Manchester Great Synagogue, Daniel was a herbalist and his family came from Nottingham.
