118 colour 35mm transparencies, taken by Capt Francis Leeson. The transparencies relate to the American Zoological Expedition to Nepal, led by Dr Dillon Ripley. Each transparency is labelled and dated on its cardboard housing. See the note concerning Capt Leeson's lecture to the Royal Central Asian Society (9 November, 1949) in the Journal of the Royal Central Asian Society, Vol XXXVII (January, 1950), p. 83. The material was donated to the RSAA archive by Capt Leeson in 2005.
