Cheltenham Hospital for Children was established in 1876, at Sherborne Villa, Sherborne Place. It moved to Belmont House, Winchcombe Street, in 1878 or 1879, and there was a further move in 1902 to a completely new building at Harp Hill, Battledown. The hospital was taken over by the National Health Service in 1948, and merged into the Cheltenham Hospitals Group.
