stating that:-
Robert Bromley was much indebted to (1) and to others. The king, by letters patent, granted his estate, including the recognizance of 2,000 marks [see Bill of Complaint: Sir John Newdigate v. Robert Bromley, 1607, etc.] to (1) for the benefit of his creditors.
Said Bromley damnified by Sir John Newdigate to the sum of £600 or £700 and (1) hope to recover against (2) upon the said recognizance, such losses as Bromley received through Sir John Newdigate for the benefit of the said creditors.
