Lever Brothers Limited Memorandum between Mr McLean, Port Sunlight and Mr L.V. Fildes, Lever House discussing a Preferential Certificate dividend payment. Mr H.W. Sarl was formerly a traveller for the Vinolia Company. On his death in 1924, his widow, Mrs G.M. Sarl, received a Preferential Certificate. On 5th January 1928, Mrs Sarl, subsequently died. Her son, Mr John A.W. Sarl, is asking if the dividend will still be paid for the previous year. Mr John A.W. Sarl was also previously employed as a traveller for Vinolia, however, due to staff reductions, his services were dispensed with. Mr Fildes confirms that the balance will be paid to Mr John A.W. Sarl as an ex gratia act. 12 January 1928 and 13 January 1928
