Description (What the record is about)
-
Exhibits produced in evidence in the case Sandiford v. Benn. By his will Calvert Benn, gentleman, of Westmill, Herts., who owned lands in Great Munden, Braughing, and Hormead Magna, tenements in London and Middlesex, a soapmaking establishment at the Three Kings in Bishopsgate Street, and other commercial interests, disinherited his son. On his father's death the son stole his father's papers and distrained on his tenants for rent. Rowland Sandiford, vicar of Christ Church, Newgate Street, London, the executor named in the will, thereupon brought the case against him.
