Lists of books from the Library of Sion College lost in the Fire of London in 1666. In the hand of John Spencer (d.1680), Librarian of Sion College. ff. 1-10. 'Catalogus librorum perditorum amissorum etc Londino tunc conflagrante'. A separate booklet, sewn. Covers folio and quarto volumes only, arranged alphabetically by authors. For another list by Spencer see Sion L40.2/E58/1 ff. 34-44. ff. 11-16. 'Catalogus librorum incendii tempore interportandum amissorum aut flammis perditorum quorum si quis defectum (modo quamvis tenui) suppeditaverit Reipub. literariae gratum faciet'. Covers folio and quarto volumes only, arranged alphabetically by authors. Incomplete, lacking a section from letter M to R. For another list by Spencer see Sion L40.2/E58/1 ff. 34-44. f. 17. 'Libri amissi rursus acquisiti'. Books lost and reacquired. After a list arranged alphabetically A-Z are further titles, including one published in 1671 and another in 1672, probably new editions acquired to replace lost books. For another list by Spencer see Sion L40.2/E58/1 f. 45.
